About us
My name is
Meike Jamila Bockermann-Poeppel
and i lived my childhood with my three brothers in a little village on
the dike in the Wesermarsh between pastures, animals and beautiful big
marshfarms.
My school class in the primary school was about 4 kids, a real luxus. J
Because my father was a site manager for bridges, seaports and dams, i've got early the chance to travel the world and meet many cultures. My main interest was the animalworld, of course.
The profession i've learned is farmer. There was no specification for the female version at that time.
Since 1985 i am living and working with Border Collies.
At this point i started to employ with breeding, heridity, education and care of Border Collies and other breeds. By this way i learned much interesting facts.
Many answers to my questions i became in england and the way to teach, too.
Through my pack-attitude i could further develop my knowledge of development practices.
I'm doing reconnaissance work for many years to the breed "Border Collies" and have published the book "Border Collie" by M. Bockermann & A. Seidel in 1996.
Than i published the Cartoon "Spaß muß sein" (eng. 'fun must be') in 2004.
The offices of racesupervisor and Breeding Warder for all breeds in our club I passed after many years, because from this position I could not always act in the sense of the dogs, not at least because i was not allowed to.
Now i've got all time i want for my family an my lovely dogs again. J
My career in dog stuff:
1992 till 1998, Construction and management of a pet-holiday-accommodation
1999 till 2005, Construction and management of a petshop
2003 till today, Construction and management of the biggest dog-school in this region.
All the time i educated myself in germany and abroad. I gave many educations in germany in all topics.
My husband Heiko learned carpenter by profession and loves to build low energy houses or to develop new chassis for speaker.
The houses we're building together for us or for friends, sounds strange, but that's it.
Which of both, to build chassis or houses, Heiko's hobby and whats the profession, i don't know!
Heiko trains his two dogs "Patch" and "Bo" in agility.
My son Johannes is 24
years old and like his mum, farmer from passion.
He learned this job for about 6 years and wants to educate to
dogtraining, now.
He loves agriculture machines and got the right hand for animals. His furry friends are "Mizi" his cat, "K.C." (Killer Kat) his tomcat and "Lotta" his lovely dog. He want to get a young puppie of my breed, we hope he finds the right one in my next litter.
